Hello ALL! Today's PROOF is all about remembering to stay grounded in the fact that God has made a way for us if we choose it; and the idea that we should always be grateful! We must always consider where we are and if it could be worse and if we are upright and breathing it is a good day! We as a group are saying so long to two members who passed way to early but they died with the disease of addiction and not from it! We who have the disease must always work hard to stay focused and forward thinking and seeking God at all times. The more we do, the better we recover. These two folks passed sober! Both were wonderful humans and will be missed. I do know that I will see them when my time comes! I take comfort in the fact that this earthly realm is temporary and the life to come is eternal because God is eternal. This means I can always stay grateful knowing that I am eventually entering the place of eternal peace. That is why I have a close and personal relationship with My God that told me directly; that if I turn to him and try to live as he would want me to; I will live for eternity with him! Not a bad housemate to have for eternity; don't ya think? LOL

I do and that is why I am always grateful. Even at my worst moments, I still have eternity to look forward to and how could I not be grateful. God loves us! Just let him! God Bless!

Hello All! Today's proof is that when I get into action and encourage others things start to happen to further God's vision for my L.I.F.E! I started by accepting my first sober living client on Thursday of last week. I have helped him learn some discipline and do service work in order to get his room up to par. I was able to buy him a bed as well. I then took him to places to apply for a job and he applied at 30 plus places in three days and today he got two offers in a matter of two hours! No job; to having to choose between two! He has four months of sobriety and has grown in the last five days. He is taking it upon himself to clean at the group he attends and is working on his twelfth step with his sponsor and is taking every suggestion he is being given.

Then I made an appointment with a tremendous friend and human to further our website and add a bunch of really neat areas to it that will hopefully be finished by Sunday! Then I will be doing two podcasts per week. One is called the God Pod and the is Thriving and Vibing in Sobriety! The hope is we will build a group of folks as a part of God's family that will share in the movement we are trying to create which is the PROOF movement. This is where we are all talking about how God works in our lives so that we can all draw strength and ideas from; and a deeper understanding of whatever God we serve!

Then I found out the cost of the property I shared about regarding the first L.I.F.E center and I will be taking a walkthrough of it by Friday!

Then Monday I will be visiting churches and book stores to either drop the book off for the pastor to review and also see if bookstores will allow a reading, a signing or maybe even stocking it on their shelves. Heck, maybe all three!

All of this will be over a ten day period and it all is happening because I started taking more steps toward the vision that God gave me some 2 plus years ago when finishing my Master's degree. That vision, to offer sober living in a healthy and affordable environment for all!

My God is so Good and so very BIG! How about yours? Take some steps toward something you have been putting aside or procrastinating about and watch what God will do as long as what you are doing aligns with his will for you. In case you are curious what that is, well, it's simple! Do good not bad and do right nor wrong! Good luck and GOD BLESS!

Hello All! Today's PROOF comes in the way of a group of people who meet weekly to share about God and Recovery! Tonight was a fly by the seat of our pants night as we didn't have a topic or leader selected. We then began to improvise! We settled on the idea of how do we obtain an unshakeable faith in God! We discussed that in the development of a trusting relationship with a God we can't see; that we can first start by developing trusting relationship with another human being. In recovery this almost always starts with a human power greater than us. That comes in the form of a sponsor who is there to guide us through the 12 steps. As we go through those steps, we see that the sponsor has our best interest at heart and is helping us for fun and for free with no expectation of something in return. For the first time we see we can trust another human being which is very difficult to do. Then they share about how they too trusted another human being, and then they found that if a finite human could be trusted maybe an infinite God could as well. If we can trust another human to have our best interest at heart, how much more can we trust an all powerful and loving God to do the same! This message is not just for those in recovery. No matter what holds anyone back from developing a healthy and loving relationship with God, they can first start by developing a spiritual relationship with another person who lives a spiritual life. So if you struggle with the development or the growth of a relationship with God; then get with other folks who are living a spiritual way. Then just follow their lead and you too will have an ever expanding spiritual life that is based in a relationship with the kindest and most loving God you can imagine. Feel free to imagine big. I do and because of it, my God is big and that means he can handle anything and everything especially when I can't. God Bless!
